Man you guys can all Talk about who did what. Ultimately it depends on which machine you like better right? Not who built it?

Use which ever machine you think it best and decide for yourself.

IDIOTS!!!!

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

i checked this thread because i just gave my new bishop a first run and had multiple o's and a possible religious experience. i was so impressed i instantly wanted a second rotary. ironically i was considering the impact as front runner for #2 due to the similar hand clearance geometry of the frames. i took the history lesson on here and have come to the conclusion that both sides agree on one very important factor; the impact is the 2.0 to the 101 bishop capo (did i mention i love that machine?)... in any case i am reminded of a true story about scales.
webb manufacturing was building the best scale in the world (arguably) and also had an unscrupulous bookkeeper. unfortunately, webb did not have a patent on their scales. the day after the young bookkeeper found out that webb had no patent... he did. that is how cardinal scales came into being. webbs neighbors felt so bad for him they named the town after him. [true]
if bishop had proper backstops in place they will be compensated. but until then am i to go without the 2.0 because of a dispute between former co-workers if not colleagues? bishop got my money last week and i am happy with my purchase but impact will also be hearing from me
i will be sure to come back here both to see the outcome update on the courts as the profits should go to the real slim shadey and also to post my own preferences in another 6-9 months without any personal bias other than which one gets used more in my arsenal.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

so I have been making machines including rotaries for a while now.i know nothing about todd or fanco on a personal level however i have used both machines. Sorry hands down the bishop is not only better but i have had nothing but great results with it. as far my impact sorry if Franco designed it and had it up for his new release it was a blessing in disguise that it was stolen. The impact is a piece of junk i saw it and thought well its price isnt very high i' give it a try. thought it was interesting and ordered it. Now first off the machine is a funny shape and is very unbalanced. second the motor no matter what kinda motor it has in it is set like crap. the cam on the inside has a very cheap bearing pressed onto the cam. I know this is going to piss impact fans off but im not trying to do that. I am just stating how the impact compares to the bishop. it just seams like the impact was made to look cool but looks have nothing to do with function. My bishop is very balanced, is easy to clean and unassemble if need be. The bearing on the cam isnt cheap and the shape of the binders on the back are not as small or as cheap as the cheesy looking ones on the impact. Really man the impact connections look like cheap china crap. all in all the bishop is a winner worth the money any high quality artist or builder will tell u u get what u pay for and the impact sale price should tell u everything u need to know. I took a loss on the impact and now it just a paperweight i cant get rid of.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

I recently purchased an Impact, and I gotta say its a very nice machine, but I guess Im gonna have to get ahold of a Bishop now to really see for myself, and that's what I would recommend everyone else do if u really want to know for sure,.cuz reading up on them u just end up more confused, consensus seems to be 50/50 u never really know til u get ahold of them see for yourself.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

It's funny to look back on this feed because now Bishop has made 4 more machine designs since the first capo, and impact is out of business. Lol. Bishop all the way
