best rotary for lining?

Posted by maclethal from IP: 24.18.148.219 on 05/16/12

i own a couple bizarrev2's with the extra excentors for them. i tried lining with one the other day setup with the med excentor and then the short. the short worked really well but these machines are super light and vibrate a lil too much for my liking. i usually stick to my coil machines for lining but im wanting to pick up a good rotary that doesnt have too much vibration and a lil more weight than the bizarrev2. i want a good rotary that i can setup strictly for lining as i use my bizarres for shading/color. looking at bishop, neotat, stealth. but would appreciate any suggestions/feedback on these machines or others.

Hey bro.

I really like lining with the neotat long stroke, or the bishop for bolder lines.... both are great machines.. I'll usually do all the finer lining with the stigma fly... for coil I would usually grab my FK Iron....

hope that helps, take care.

I prefer the older model neotat, the vibration is very low, however I do use the wrath tubes, they really help with the vibration... and sometimes I will wrap the tube in a paper towel with a wrap of sensi wrap over that, mostly just because its easier and more comfortable in my hands...

take care.

Paulo Cruz termintor rotary is hands down the best lining rotary i have ever used, all other rotary machines tend to "hang up" as i line, Im sure many of these machines can do the job, but I have been using swash, dragonfly's, bishops,canister rotarys, and nothing in my opinion touches what Paulo is doing.

obviously LMFAO! neotat is working good as long as u get a one pass line but if ur trying to build up ive learned to use either a rotary with give or my coils as the neotat is unforgiving and will tear the skin up with multiple passes. what volts do u line at with the long stroke original superman?

Hey maclethal,

I usually run my Neo at 10 volts, give or take 0.5v depending on the area, everything else I kinda hang around 9 V for pretty much everything....
Take care.

the neo tat machine running speed:

14v = 140 (hps)
12v = 120 (hps)
10v = 100 (hps)
8v = 80 (hps)

I love the thunder for 9 bold one pass lines, haven´t tried anything up for lining, is just so quiet. I also have a Dan kubin mini cranker that everybody praises for it for big powerlines. It is low vibrating as the first gen bishop and feels solid ( steel body). I have a bizarre V2 too that I got for precise lining but find too vibrating after using a thunder.
