Muddying colours

Does anyone have any advice on avoiding muddying' my lighter colour tones when doing a colour piece ? I try to avoid wiping dark colours over light but sometimes just happens. I'm guessing it's a case of experience but anything to help would be appreciated

Put the dark tones in first, lighter tones after.

wash between the stages with green Soap. it has to be enough green Soap inside the bottle to build a foam.

after the wash cover the Skin with oitment and a paper towl.

set up a different machine for your lights ,..so your only rinsing light colours instead of trying to rinse out darks and then contaminating your lights
