Packing color with the Cheyenne Hawk

I've recently had an epiphany with my Cheyenne Hawk. I found it was tricky to pack color, especially white based colors.. I used to run my coils relatively fast, so i figured it would be the same with my Cheyenne. I struggled for a while until I watched a video by Johnny Gault on youtube (iron lotus tattoo). He was running the thing at 60 hits per second. The very next tattoo i did with color...BAMMM... SOLID EFFORTLESS FUCKING COLOR. The tightest, most effortless saturation I have ever achieved, no matter what part of the body(even throats). low and slow.
I did fair sized forearm piece in reds greens and browns, crazy fast heal with velvety blacks and solid color. Virtually no trauma to the skin. Blending is now a fucking dream. I'm sure it will extend the life of my machine as-well. I hope this helps anyone who finds the cheyenne hawk difficult to use with color. CHANGED MY WHOLE FUCKING WORLD.

thanks for the advice dude, ive recently got a thunder and been in an on/off relationship with it, use it for a week, then back in the drawer, this might solve the issues ive got with it ill be giving it a try in the studio today!
how much needle do you have out for your work with the hawk?lining/colour/blending?
im determined to crack the hawk i see some bad ass work getting done with them

J. Gault has some nice instructional videos on his youtube channel. I just wish half the video wasn't an advertisement for his machines. I'm not too sure that tuning your machines unloaded at 2v on a $16 power supply is the best way to tune.

60 hits per second. Does that mean 6.0 volts?
I get confused with that but I think I saw somewhere that the volts represent the hits per second.
