hi MAN

i have see the prototype of this machine, 2 month ago in SYDNEY tattoo convention, i talke also with BYRON the guy produce the machine, is nice guy, i have some of his AIR MACHINES, and are ok

about the new rotary i try run , is ok, but not compare with STIGMA HYPER, is rigid almost like all the normal rotary, i hope for u is ok, is quality machine, very good assembled, but for my opinion the best rotary now in the market is STIGMA HYPER

i build machines from 2003, so i know what i mean

RE:inkjecta rotary

When i went to Australia, Byron gave me an InkJecta Air machine, its very similar to the Neuma 2. I actually did like it,i only used it once but now that i think of it I'm going to use it again because it did work pretty dang good. It has a different sound than the Neuma 2, sounds a bit deeper more like a 4 stroke rather than the neuma 2 being a 2 stroke(in the Motorcycle world) which was nice it wasn't so piercing loud.

RE:inkjecta rotary

ha...ha.... funny the idea of motorcycle engine 4 and 2 stroke..ha..ha...

i have the INK JECTA with air, is very good, i prefer than neuma about the way to close the tube, more simple, like any other normal tattoo machine
actually they made also one model name TORQUE, BYRON say more power than normal air machine, i dono that u try that one,
they made some good stuff, but about the ROTARY is not compare to STIGMA HYPER, the ink jecta rotary sound very good for done outline, but is not really soft

GOOD WORK MIKE, U ARE THE BEST AF ALL...
hey when come out the new DVD? i don sleep in the night for have one....ha..ha..ha.....

RE:inkjecta rotary

It's worth a shot and if they don't suit my needs. I'll pass them on.

I have taken a shine to most rotary systems.

So here's a few more on the list.

Mike Metaxa rotaries and A guy in the UK named JIMMY JACK he is a machine builder and spent a little time with Artemis at Stigma discussing the rotary system.
He has come up with a disposable rotary machine I think it cost 70 UK pounds. If you get 6mths to a year from a machine it's money well spent as most artists can make that back from an hour or two's tattooing.
This guy knows his stuff and used to build machine for Micky Sharpz.

Anyone have any other suggestions ??

RE:inkjecta rotary

When the neuma came out I bought it. I couldn't do more than 10 tattoos with it.
Despite the amount of money spent with compressor and wiring the station, I ended up going back to coils. Since then I've tried it all.

Finally I a coworker made me try some of his FK Irons. WOW was my first response. I now use FKI only. They are the lightest coil machines I've ever used and the best part is that still run with my old gear. They are super consistent, well built and dealing with the builder was a pleasures.

I've been tempted to try he Hyper but I'm done with rotaries, they are just not for me.

RE:inkjecta rotary

Ink-jecta has recently built a machine based completely off of my (coil) shader machine. I never thought I would care for rotaries but I was so impressed when I got to test it. There is actually a little give to it . I decided to see if I could get more give and I actually just opened my needle bar loop a little bit and use a soft rubber grommet (I get 100 for about 5 bucks and just tosss em). Man the machine hit so soft and smooth I could not believe it!
My main issue with the hyper is that it seems to me that the way they have it set to have give is some sort of rubber cushioning system that inevitably will wear out and you will still be fiddling with and adjusting your tension. I like how the ink-jecta has a precise amount of built in give and you can just adjust the needle loop if you want more. I will post some new work with them soon. -J

RE:inkjecta rotary

So what Joshua is saying is that you can get more give with any machine if you open the loop and use a softer grommet, thats pretty cool! So for the Hyper Stigma you can do the same thing but screw your give screw in and use this method. I contacted the Ink-Jecta guys and have a couple machines comin my way soon,I'm excited to try them out, but man oh man,i have been stoked with the Hyper Stigmas, and hope the Ink Jecta can compete with it.

RE:inkjecta rotary

yes Mike thats correct, just open it a little it doesn't take much.
The Ink-Jecta already has a little give that you may find is just right as is. I bet you will love them.-J

RE:inkjecta rotary

To either Mike or Joshua:

HOW DO I GITZ ME ONE DEM DURR?!

haha

Recently started messing around with rotaries (cheap ebay specials) and actually really appreciated some of their characteristics. From the sounds of it, this machine here has quite a bit of the bullshit knocked off and has really zeroed in on being sturdy, comfortable, and efficient. SO WHERE THE HECK DO I GET ONE?!

RE:inkjecta rotary

Heres a link to there website, looks as if it's still under construction but there is a link to there myspace and also has some phone numbers on there to reach them.
Ask for Byron, he's a super rad dude and will help you out.http://www.inkjecta.com/

RE:inkjecta rotary

Opening up the needle bar sounds like a really half-assed idea. I love how other people jump into forums to promote their own products. The squishy rubber thing inside the stigma works extremely well and is adjustable from a no give liner to the softest building shader you've ever tried. But now that I know that I don't need to spend $500-600 on a phenomenal piece of equipment, I'll just buy some $10 pieces of shit on Ebay and open up my needle bars. Thanks for the great advice man!!!

RE:inkjecta rotary

On second thought a harder hitting machine like the inkjecta might be just what we need to get those Ala Prima inks into the skin.

RE:inkjecta rotary

hmmm, sounds like a little jealousy to me !
if a couple of the best rated artists (not rated by me alone, but by thousands of people, both tattoo artists and none artists) develop tweaks that will help, and no doubt further the development of tattoo machines and thereby help other artists to improve - how can you pour cold water on it ?

RE:inkjecta rotary

i thought the whole point of a forum was to hear other peoples ideas and maybe learn from their trial and error.why be a dick if you dont like what someone says, just read it and move on. people will stop posting if they have to deal with assholes every time they try to share some of their knowledge with others.....by the way i have two inkjecta rotary machines they work awesome and the tip joshua gave does make a difference. Like anything what works for me may not work well for others so if you dont agree then move on to the next post instead of telling me im a liar and stupid .thanks for letting me rant it will be the 1st and last time i do
