RE:wat is the blackest black?

STAY AWAY FROM ETERNAL TRIPLE BLACK, at least for a while. Because there has been a number of reports of the eternal triple black causing out of control blow outs. This is where I read the info.

For a real dark ass black I always use Intenze true black.

RE:wat is the blackest black?

ive tried
intenze true black
kuro
alla prima
one
zuper by intenze
starbrite
dermaglo
kabuki skin candy
black eye skin candy
eternal lining
talens
palikin

i say a its a tie between alla prima and zuper black
they are very dark and heal very well.
nothing wrong with the others at all, these are just my choices..

RE:wat is the blackest black?

Dynamic black is a good all around black for lining and solid fields(not my favorite for washes). To the blowout guy, Eternal triple black is not intended for outlining. This could be why people are getting blowouts. Many tribal blacks also have that problem if you try to pull single pass outlines with them.

RE:wat is the blackest black?

I was using One, eternal triple black, then my boss turned me onto Waverly, now I am using Silverback 11 that shit is the sooooooooooot. Personally I think waverly and silverback...

Waverly Dark Black is really nice.
I've used almost all of the different blacks over the years and so far I like the Waverly best.

STAY AWAY FROM ETERNAL TRIPLE BLACK.
ATTENTION;
i used and the blowouts was ridiculous.
Now one of my costumers is SUING us and even called the NEWSPAPER on us BECAUSE THIS F*NG INK!
im about to get fired from this freakin problem,
and i talk to the owner of eternal hand he said it had problems with the formula because it was to concetrated.
I advice my fellow tattoo artist;
to not go thru the hedache im going thru,
dont use eternal triple black.

I'v experimented with numerous blacks too,i was given an advice to a mix and hey that shit is working for me,starbrite black, kurosumi's double sumi and some dynamic in it i first did a mix of a 1oz bottle tried it on my friend some months ago ,now thats how am using it ,some have mentioned climate has a lot to do with it ,where i am in central america ppl are heavily exposed to sunlight and heat,so am not if that would b a factor, and that my 2 cents to this topic

RE:wat is the blackest black?

ive tried several blacks over the years.....

eternal triple black, some shit of micky sharpz (veeeeery bad!!)
intense black from makkuro sumi, zuper black, alla prima black etc.....

i stick with zuper black from intenze and makkuro sumi intense black

i think it is not very "known" in the usa

u can use it for lining, shading or solid tribal stuff... its not bad.
i also use the zuper black for lining shading etc...

RE:wat is the blackest black?

well as far as the blow out thing with eternal ink i havent used it but if you are a experenced artist then you should be able to see blow out as they are happening if you are getting into the fatty tissue then it will happen with higgens ink from wal-mart. but dynamic black is the best all around black ive ever used and talenz would be my second ink of choice

RE:wat is the blackest black?

been using one for a long time, really like it. it was talens before that, liked that stuff too. but mostly for their ability to make very smooth geywashes. now that ive switched to silverback for greywashes, im tinkering around with different blacks. fusion has a good black for lining that stays really dark. my buddy derek adams makes a black he doesnt sell really, and ive used a bunch of that stuff. pretty good. havent tried the waverly, but that might be my next choice. the intenze dragon blood black or whatever its called, i have a bunch of that stuff in my arm and its pretty dark. i dunno. might just go back to one. it stays dark and goes in quick..

RE:wat is the blackest black?

Through my apprenticeship i used dynamic for lining, shading, and grey wash And still do for the two years I've been tattooing professionally . But for any solid tribal packing I've always used starbrite tribal black. The dynamic doesn't make a very good grey wash in my opinion. I've recently purchased Waverly dark black and haven't got to try it out yet but when i do I'll let you guys know the results. But i know several talented artist who swear by it. I've also heard good things about The Eternal triple black but i don't think it is a lining pigment. More for solid saturation. The eternal lining black is a good black for lining but I've only used it a handful of times. And have yet to see healed results. Another artist at our shop uses the intenze Zuper black but he's had some issues with it. Nothing major just artist quirks. Which couldnt be narrowed down to ink or machine difficulties or needle configuration.

RE:wat is the blackest black?

I have been on the quest to find the blackest black since I started tattooing 14 years ago. I've tried most of the blacks on the market and a few concoctions of my own. So Far here are the results:

LINING:
I like Dynamic or Kuro Sumi for outlining. Some of the thicker ones don't work well for obvious reasons. I've used Tallens for outlining as well but prefer "tattoo ink" rather than drawing ink.

Shading:
I've made my grey washes out of numerous blacks and so far can't beat the consistency, ease of getting it in smooth and great healing of the pre-mix Kuro Sumi shading ink. I normally use three cups, one with straight Kuro Sumi shading ink, one with 50% and one with a few drops. I add white to my last two cups to get that soft grey.

SOLID BLACK FILL:
Eternal's Triple Black is pretty darn black, Dynamic is ok but is a bit thin for my liking for solid fill. Intenze Suluape tribal is very black but makes a serious mess on the skin; use lots of A&D! I have some Waverly but haven't noticed that it's any blacker than the above ones. The Zuper black from Intenze is good and not quite as thick as the Suluape.

My daily go-to inks are Dynamic for lining, Kuro Sumi for shading and one of the ones from Intenze or Eternal for heavy black fill.

RE:wat is the blackest black?

I tried Eternal Triple Black and tattoos became bluer and greener instead of black, it was really disappointing to see the results, then I gave a try to Intenze Zuper Black and there you go, the difference was huge, real, lovely, perfect black, just the way I wanted it to be when I bought the Eternal Triple Black.

I´m about to try Kuro Sumi and Dynamic soon, I hope they are as good as I have read and heard they are.

Give it a try to Zuper Black, so far is my only recommendation... Cheers and good luck!

RE:wat is the blackest black?

one that hasn't been mentioned that surprised me is from Fusion, it took me a minute to get use to the way it goes in but i will not go back to lining inks, it is just like all the fusion colors, amazing! its a little thick for lining but it stays so black and when you use all fusion pigments in a tattoo it looks so smooth and complete. i bought a set a while back and i will not use any other. nice black and grey mixes too!
