RE:cheyenne

sometimes the eikon 300 will crap out on rotarys, depending on which 300 you have , old or newer verson you can get a rotary adapter. The Rotary Adaptor is a power converter that enables rotary tattoo machines to function with the Eikon EMS 300 / 250 power supplies without rotary mode. With the Rotary Adaptor active the duty will not come up to 99% which causes the power supply to shut down. Both rotary machines and coil machines will work by flipping the switch on the rotary adaptor to the corresponding machine of use. The duty and CPS readings on the display of the power supply will be correct with coil machines but not for rotary machines. Only voltage indication is needed for rotary machines. I suggest you upgrade to the new eikon 400 series.it is designed to run rotary machines. I use it with my stigma hyper and never had a problem with the machine shutting down. however only the voltage is going to show. you need to get use to the machine and watch the action. keep the voltage between 7 and 12max and you should be ok. use 10 to 12 for lining and 7 to 9 for shading. once you get use to the machine you'll see how hard or soft the machine is hitting and you can then adjust it acording to your clients . hope that helps a little.
take care. ..........stephen stacey

RE:cheyenne

Call Eikon I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they can flash the chip on the older models to make it work with most rotaries
