Can I make my washes with kuro sumi and listerine?

Why would you want to? I mean, I've heard of people doing it, but don't understand the point. Nothing wrong with just using distilled water. Sometimes i will take glycerin and distilled water mixture to make a "creamier" wash.

I've never tried it and have no urge to. Distilled water works just fine!

The purpose of Listerine put inside any kind of bottle of ink is Sterilization..... As we all know, a person's mouth hosts the most bacteria and germs in our whole body. An old school method of keeping our pigments from going bad was adding a small cap of Listerine 2 the bottle and shaking it up very well prior 2 each use. Contrary 2 using 70% Alcohol in pigment to sterilize pigment... Alcohol Burns & will not feel good to your client. I know that to this very day, there Are tattoo artist who still use this method of extending the life of their pigments by adding a cap of Listerine to it. We do it at our studio and it has no effect on your pigment of the healing process. So again, Listerine is used as a Pigment Life Extender... Not as a medium to mix with black to get gray washes. As others have said here, Distilled water gets the job done.... Now you know why you may see some Listerine inside some tattoo shops.....
