Shops buying large paintings

I was just wondering what are the chances of a tattoo shop buying custom paintings from a guy that paints and draws real real good? Most are tattoo orientated ex. traditional Japanese, skulls, pin ups and etc. I was thinking of just walking in and introducing myself and show all of my paintings to them and let them decide how much they are worth. Do you think any of them would by artwork? Im thinking of going to the high reputation shops first. Thanks

Hope your new work is better.

RE:Shops buying large paintings

Thanks for the advice, like i said before those are my old high school artwork, so i was 16 or 17 at time when i did those. I like working on oils now and done more realistic renaissance style of paintings. I am just 20 so i had gotten better and faster. And yes I know I can barrow a DSLR camera, but who? none of my friends have a DSLR and my regular $80 camera doesn't have a good resolution for large size paintings. Hey "stefan" and "El ro" do you have a link that I can see your work? I am interested in seeing your work at your experience age if that's okay with you both.

and google jeff gogue. i know most of his paintings are on his myspace. he also have a dvd that should help you out a lot about oils.

one more thing, not because you can scribble something on paper, you can do it on skin. i'm just assuming you want to be a tattoo artist. if you wanna be a part of this industry, make sure you undergo an apprenticeship.

don't take our criticism wrong. they're all constructive. also, we do not need to prove anything to you so stop asking anybody for their portfolio.

peace
