Fusion vs eternal

I keep hearing different stories about fusion. Some people say its a stolen eternal formula and some people say the original creator of eternal took his recipe and created fusion after losing control of eternal. I know some of this rumors n some of it is true. I personally love fusion and feel it is brighter n goes in the skin easier. Although fusion is still a newer ink, I'm curious if anyone has had any issues or can elaborate of the origin of this ink. Mike what's your ink preference?

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Boy I hope Mike isn't.
Fusion WAS good. Now it's ok and customer service sucks.
The chemist, owner, partner whatever ya wanna call him is a straight up egotistical dick.
The ink was ALOT better a year ago..my wife's leg is a prime example.
Believe me....go back to Eternal! Run as fast as you can!
You aren't getting the same ink the "bigger names" are getting!
Their artist series is a joke. Hurtados series is the ink they already make named differently. The Gogue series WAS great, now it's like watered down.
Fusion will lie straight to you to get you to buy the product but never deliver.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

First, Im not part owner in any ink company. I recently helped formulate a cool color set with Mario Rosenau for Eternal Ink but thats it.

I think both are great, Fusion and Eternal. I use more Eternal than Fusion though.

Adam Everett was the ink master way back when Fantasia Ink started. Then years later he went to work for Tramp at Eternal and they created Eternal Ink, Adam formulating all the colors for them and he was pretty much the face behind the Ink as well. Adam is the man when it comes down to tattoo pigment. He worked there for many years and then they had a falling out, theres a few sides to the story about the falling out, that I'm not going to get into, but then he moved to California and partnered up with Next Generation Tattoo Machines and created their new line, Fusion Ink.

I cant say one is better than the other, it's the same stuff in my eyes, other than slightly different colors. I like Eternals selection of colors better.

Adam has always been a good friend to me and he's a super nice guy! Tramp is rad too!

Part of being a tattoo artist is trying a variety of things, if something isnt working for you, then try something different.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Both are great inks! I personally like eternal slightly better just because of my preference to their color pallette but both are solid.

One isn't "better" than the other ; more personal preference I guess. Tramp is a solid guy. Don't know much about Adam... but yea dude both good ink companies cant knock either of em.

Seriously? watered down huh?

RE:Fusion vs eternal

I keep hearing they are the same ink.... But I did a half a sleeve using eternal, and the other half using fusion... Fusions side was way brighter and healed nicer. I do use both but use the fusion more. There's only a few colors I prefer from eternal.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

I also use mainly Fusion due to the great bright heals and the white is great for highlights. I've never had any issues using either brand, but definately prefer eternal if I am going for a more muted pallete. Some Eternal colors I prefer over Fusion...specifically magenta.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

i havent used any fusion myself but i have a few pieces on me that were done with fusion and the artist doing it told me to stick with the mix i use now (eternal, starbrite, intenze, moms) and leave fusion alone cuz he bought a whole 2oz set and withing a month they got all chunky inside the bottles and u had to thin the shit out of em to even be able to work with them. after seeing how his turned out i wont buy any

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Making a claim that Fusion is watering down their ink is quite harsh and more than likely false. For me I have had nothing but great customer service from them and I certainly am no one special.
So far every batch I have had has been consistent. As far as which is better Adam pretty much made both inks so I am sure they are extremely similar. I personally use mostly fusion. I have some eternal colors I just love however. Saying that the signature palates are just renamed colors is not true either. Are some of them very close to other colors? Yes, but that's a part of selection and variety. The slightest change in a color can make a difference. Almost every major ink company has inks that are just the slightest bit different in tone be it shade tint etc. this is because we as artists love a vast array of colors. Just because they are made does not mean you must purchase them. I don't see how that is a knock on a ink company. You will be happy with either though that's for sure.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

not to hijack the thread, but still feel the old unique/fairweather inks are still the best.as soon as i run out of my intenze/fusion palette,im slowly going to get some of those colors back into the mix =)

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Fusion, Eternal, Intenze are all good just leave that skin candy crap to the jokers.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

i use both. I haven't any problems with either customer service. My shop got robbed while back and Fusion actually replaced every color i had earlier purchased for almost nothing which was unique and extremely kewl. eternal does have a bigger color palette but fusion is growing. I have noticed that fusions white is a little brighter and keeps its brightness better after healing. the blacks are close to the same. as far as brightness after healing alot of that is determined by how you put it in the skin and of course aftercare that the person uses and really skin tone plays a big part in the brightness of certain colors. both are good companies in my opinion i mainly use fusion because i just like it and have had great results but no complaints about eternal either

RE:Fusion vs eternal

I've been following this forum for a while and thought I'd throw my two cents in for once. I use both fusion and eternal inks and I've found that I like certain colors better from different brands. It seems to me that a lot of the brighter fusion colors heal up more vibrant. On a note fusion has excellent customer service, when I ordered a pack of all their colors I got a handwritten thank you and they replaced a couple of the 2oz bottles that broke open during shipping with 4oz ones free of cost.

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Oh how sweet is that.I just can imagine if the things here in UK were going the same way, after 2 weeks I would have a full set of not only 2 oz but 4 oz on the top of all for free .God bless the shipping companies :)

By the way, I use a lot of Intenze and Eternal and on my opinion both are good brands, so I can't really tell which one's better.

Thanks

RE:Fusion vs eternal

I would have to say I have used both and think there great inks,I think if you ever get a chance to meet Adam from fusion you'll know like I' do ,he is a stand up guy and I love his inks, and mike is dead on with his information .

RE:Fusion vs eternal

for me fusion is far better than any other ink
based on what ive experience the color is so brigth when it heals.starbrigth dynamic moms intenze
are no match to fusion
stay away from intenze and mom these pigment sucks
to all those great artist promoting intenze you all suck
you should be ashamed you are all pulling a person to walk in a file of shit
i live in a community full of violence
if the costumer
didnt like the tattoo result when it heals
youre dead thank god fusion is a life saver

U should move!! Haha

RE:Fusion vs eternal

Don, You should move or attempt to change your clientele base. I commented a while ago about how much I love Fusion. Still do! I have added more Eternal colors to my palate. Honestly the two brands work into the skin almost identical to one another. I must say the M-Series Mike and Mario put together is an awesome addition to my arsenal. A quick example of a color I love from eternal is Wild Orchid. There is not anything quite like it from Fusion. Mix and match from the ink companies you like best. At the end of the day the quality you produce with these inks is what matters.
