RE:Hands down best white?

In 16 years of tattooing I've found Dynamic to be the straight up hands down best.

1. It goes in super rich and vibrant with little or no effort on all skin types..
2. It maintains its vibrancy over time. I've done whites using Dyanmic that are still as bright and solid as the day I did them 16 years ago..
2. It is consistent across all types of skin, which I can't say enough about how important that is. There's really no such thing as some people not taking white. It's more like their brand of white doesn't go in well with all skin types. I've even done scriptwork on black people using only the Dynamic white. The darker the skin, the brighter it shows.

Starbright is good in some cases but seems very inconsistant with different skin types.

RE:Hands down best white?

Id have to vote starbrite too is the best, it separates though, so a good shaking is needed.

RE:Hands down best white?

i have noticed almost all their colors seperate a lil faster than most brands, alla prima is the worst about seperating on u, but ya i just shake the shit out of em and their good to go. i luv the consistancy of starbrite though. i havent tried a color from them yet that i dont like. if ur looking for a great yellow their canary yellow is also the best imo

RE:Hands down best white?

i used to use starbrite, before i came across hautcutuer, small german brand. they got 3 different kinds of white: milch, h-milch, reflektion. milch and h-milch are nice and mix and blend well with all kinds of color from all over the world, while the makers say reflektion is only for stand alone white tattoos and b&g highlighting, because in mixing or blending with other colors it tends to fade the colors over time. so i didn't test the latter operations and use all 3 kinds for what they were made. imho milch is a bit more difficult to work with than h-milch, which comes out better directly while tattooing even during fresh skin irritation. reflektion is the absolutely killer white, didn't see any "whiter" in my life.
but quality has it's price: 30ml cost about 20 euro and until now i couldn't find bigger amounts at http://hautcutuer.com

RE:Hands down best white?

They dont produce hautcutuer anymore. they made a new product called bullets ink. the colours are way better than their old ones, and their holy white kicks ass. price is about 15 euro for 35ml

Probably the best white for me is Danny Fowler's New world.

RE:Hands down best white?

I know different strokes for different folks and everyone will have their own opinions and unique selection.
However.....
I hear starbright all the time....
Seriously???
This old outdated product is garbage in my opinion.
I have a portion of my right arm sleeve done in starbright colors
and it looked great for a few months.
compared to other pieces I have had for years it just looks "aged"
With the progression in tattoo work over the last few years I just cant see using this product.
( I also feel the same for pelican ink, and talens.
why not use a product specifically formulated for tattooing??)

I know others will stand by these products and that is all well and good, different opinions and all..
who am i to say my way is the correct way, It is just 'My" particular way.

If I was to recommend a white then I would recommend what i use
and my go to white is eternal white.
I'm gonna keep tuned into this thread just to see what others have to say.
Again this is just my opinion.
Thanks

RE:Hands down best white?

I like Eternal White, it's not to thick and it's not to runny, works great for highlights and all other areas for when white is needed as is or blended with other colors. It heals nice and white too!

RE:Hands down best white?

Dermaglo is real thick and rich ..heals nice and bright ..maybe as heavy as dynamic heavy white..but i hear its better

RE:Hands down best white?

I have used Starbrite before and generally it is a good ink to use however, because the two owners split, it will depend on who you get your batch from. One does the good white but the other may do a better Red and so on. It seems weird that the recipe would change but this is what i have heard and also experienced with the two different qualities. I now use Alla Prima white and find it a really good white, it's what i will stick with for now.

RE:Hands down best white?

I'm pretty partial to eternals white, always goes in smooth for me and heals up bright. I won't disagree with starbrite though, I've used a few of their colors a while ago and the white and canary yellow didn't disappoint

RE:Hands down best white?

For years I used StarBrites white, until recently I noticed that it didn't seem quite as bright as before. It seemed more of an "off-white".. Turned out it wasnt just my imagination, on their label we noticed the C.I. Number was different than previous batches and was no longer the pure white pigment.

I've switched all my pigments over to Indelible Tattoo Ink, and so far the white is one of my favorite colors. It's good for highlighting and I've used it to mix as well. All around a great white.
