Guys his style is nothing new.The single needle machine was the only tool many people had access to mainly in the streets and prisons .Being from CA this I know is the case here.In fact i have seen some very nice work from the more skilled artist not scratchers.The fact that these guys are not in the indsustries lime light we never here of them.Artistic talent patience and the right tool will always further your outcome .Anil is one who has masterd his tool.

How does one do so much work with a single needle and not tear up the skin? My instincts tell me a slow and soft running machine. Does it take a lot longer using a single liner vs shader?

holy shit just watched this guys videos! cant believe ive never heard of him. killer work and ya he has to be using a soft hitting machine to pull that off without damaging the skin. also i noticed how he makes his stencils. does anyone know what kind of monitor and which photoshop program he is using?

in prison we used a motor from hair clippers or a cassette player with a guitar string for a needle. melted toothbrush handle for a frame and butchered pen for a tube. the only give in the needle was the slight curve of the guitar string, and yeah, you could dig a hole in a person quick.

but with 24 hours a day to work on getting in trouble, what else ya going to do. so many years ago and they still do it the same way today.

wow they are quite expensive! does anybody know of any other company that manufactures/sells graphics monitors with digital pen that are a lil more affordable but good quality??? also is the photoshop cs6? i own cs5 extended and am wondering if it is still compatible with it?

its all about controlling the tool and working off the tip of the needle... running the machine too soft wont do the trick.

maclethal, look up the wacom intous 5, they come in a variety of sizes i believe the small one is around 230$? its not a touch monitor but still a pen tablet, its a graphic artists dream toy for a budget

First off, this is amazing. And yeah, definitely a Wacom Cintiq. They're extremely expensive but the Intuos tablets are really nice and a bit more affordable. I've used a 2 and a 4 and absolutely love them, the Intuos5 looks pretty awesome with the touch controls. Anyone used one of these yet to be able to say how they stack up next to the previous versions? I've been curious for a while now.

him don have any tattoos, just one on his leg done by 4 or 5 artists togheder in a convention some years ago, i remenber the pic on some tattoo magazine, look like him done more for fun

him done tattoo with drawing tecnique, suppose is a good painter-designer, totally different from any other artists tecnique, but his staff is amazing, is very strange for me to understand people like this done tattoos, i mean, him probable don even like tattoos becouse never get on his skin, sound like his just job for him, like BORIS from HUNGARY and some other EAST EUROPE artist, but we cannot talk of the quality of works that is absolutely amazing

so the tablets r just plug n play straight to ur laptop or pc? im just wondering if they come with their own software for photo editing or do they slave off of what ur running on ur laptop/pc?

i had a wacom cintiq whatever blabla model...

i just bought it because i saw some big artists using them for drawing, but in fact, theyre pretty unneccessary.
i bought it for 900 euro .... and used it exactly 2x in 3 months, because you have to use it instead of your monitor etc.... its a big mess.

use paper and pencil, anything else is not necessary. sure its a cool toy, but if you dont really need it i recommend to not buy it, because of price etc...

by the way, yes they come with software and pen and all that stuff.

well the iphone 5 isnt nessecary either but people still want it because it makes life convenient for them. the wacom intuos will not replace paper and pencil if thats your preference but it has functions and capabilities that make certain things a convenience. lets face it technology caught up with tattooing, this industry would not be where it is today without a computer and printer (arguably).

He uses a program I think called Vellum or Sketch. It's a drawing program and not Photoshop. He took a picture of my shoulder, put it up on his screen, and drew my design on my arm photo, drew half, flipped it to make it symetrical etc. I've used the Wacom tablet and it's not the same. I do have a Ipad and bought a drawing program called "Procreate" for $5. I caN PUT A PICTURE ON MY IPOD, IE THE SPOT I'LL TATTOO AND DRAW RIGHT OVER IT. THE OUTPUT WHEN YOU GO TO PRINT UNFORTUNATELY IS ONLY 70 DPI (SAME AS THE SCREEN RESOLUTION) BUT IT'S GREAT TO STRATEGIZE ON COVER UPS OR PLAN OUT THE "NEXT SESSION" ON A TATTOO YOU ALREADY STARTED. whoops, I'm a hunt and peck typer and did not look up, eh-he…. BTW, my tattoo from Anil came out awesome, most expensive tattoo I will EVER get though.

Yes 'Procreate' is a good software .But I Just Want to Know u are using this software with finger or Stylus Pen .The stylus Pen Come into 2 sizes. Thick or Fine Tip .If u r Doing with Stylus Pen with Fine Tip tell me where can i buy it and It is Good OR Not .

U can get a fine stylus at http://adonit.net/product/jot-pro/ but I like using my finger because it's faster, u just have to zoom in and out a lot more. I have Sketchbook Pro, Brushes, Art Rage, Inspire Pro and Procreate on my iPad. I prefer Procreate cuz it's very intuitive and u can customize ur brushes like photoshop. Procreate allows u to upload ur image into Dropbox with 1920x1408 at 72 ppi. What I do is get on my laptop and get the image from Dropbox and open it in photoshop. Once in photoshop I up the rez to 300 and it's big enough for anything. I use my iPad for everything. I have tattoo magazines, and flash books in PDF on it. If I need to show a client a rough sketch of their work I'll upload it to photobucket and send them the link. What's really good about it is that I can draw on the go without having to bring sketchbooks and pencils along. And for coverups u just upload an image of the old tattoo, create a new layer and draw or paint over it.
