RE:Armrest

I ordered a custom, hand made one from http://armourrests.net/

I haven't got it yet, so I can't give my hands on review yet.

Leon came highly recommended by someone I trust. He was quite helpful when ordering.

RE:Armrest

FUCK those are cool!! i will buy one i guess.

my rest is selfmade and i love it, but what ive seen here is just amazing. i need that either!

RE:Armrest

so i couldnt fork out the bills for the reno-rest, which LOOKS very adjustable and well built. i bought a cymbal stand and built my own. my homemade stand works fine, but is limited by the 3 prong base (slightly) and in time i will buy one from tat-soul or the like. for now however; a good drumkit/cymbal stand will give most adjustments i see the reno rest gives and is a solid stand for about 30% the cost or better if you have a decent pawn shop near by.

RE:Armrest

Tatsoul Reno rest is what we use here at the shop. Love them. There is a cheap oversized armrest model that's 50 bucks that we Use as well from friction supply . Id get it if your budget is a little tight. Hope that helps!

RE:Armrest

miked has an armrest right here on this site. i dont own one to give a review but ive heard good things about it. anything from tatsould is quality but imo wayyyyy over priced. $250 for an armrest no way man. their ottlite is almost $200 and i found the exact same one on amazon for $80 so look around before u throw that kinda coin at a brand name

RE:Armrest

Thank you for the info. One more thing. What should I look for in a good armrest? cuz I don't want to find out when i get one and use it that I just wasted money on junk. Thanks.

RE:Armrest

Hi Maclethal,

Thank you for acknowledging us for carrying only premium products. We strive to come out with only great gear backed backed by great customer service.

Regarding the Reno Rest, It's up to the consumer if $250 for a armrest with a lifetime structural warranty is too expensive or not. Please note the armrest comes with a unique ball joint movement along with a lifetime warranty on the frame. We also do pay royalties to the original tattoo artist that came up with the idea, not to mention the high expense of obtaining a patent for the ball joint adjustment. We are actually coming out with another armrest Reno GEN2 that will be the best in the industry! Expect its debut sometime mid year.

Regarding the Ottlites, our version is more expensive because it is a speciall "tattoo edition" with slight differences in molds and materials. Our wholesale cost for them is even higher than the similar looking 80-100 dollar retail black Ottlites from Lowes. However, beginning in May, we will be dropping our "tattoo edition" lamps and will be carrying these less expensive lamps (cheaper version you describe) with a retail price tag between 80-90 dollars.

RE:Armrest

You might want to check out Cali irons armrest. A guy I work with has one and it seems to be one of the better ones in the shop. Good luck

RE:Armrest

I tried emailing you their contact info but the email failed. Doesn't look like yore using a valid address for your posts.

Anyway they're a small company so I'm pretty sure the number I have is a personal phone. They don't mind if I give it out but I don't feel comfortable blasting it on here so if anyone is interested you can just ask me for it via email VroomSkate@gmail.com and ill send it to you.

Another option is to message them on their Facebook. You can check out photos of some of their armrests on there too. I don't think they keep it very updated tho. Looks like the simple layouts but I've seen him make some beautiful studio and portable models. Great people/ company that supports the industry so ya I definitely say pick one up. GL

RE:Armrest

Look no farther for your armrest needs. I build the last armrest you will need at half the cost of the other guys. They are all stainless steel never painted so clean and sterile is easy to maintain. The are fully adjustable and have a 7x14 vinyl pad. Solid basic model is 100.00$ and my tricked out rests go to 200.00. I can also custom make to dimensions you need. Email or Call 610-462-7456 Thanks Greg

RE:Armrest

greg
post up a link to see your armrests
maybe a facebook or instagram ?

I have been finding some pretty awesome equipment out there
Albro Electrical Devices for clipcords...
best I have seen and his service was killer
(only sells to verified pros)

but im looking to step up some of my other stuff
mainly my armrests

armourest looks great but have a heafty pricetag im sure they are great but im not sure I have that much coin to spend on one item.
they do look to be built solid out of camshafts and other strong stuff.

I have a great client chair but the one I sit on is crap been looking for a midmark medical stool with a back on it for some time with no luck.
back to the armrest though I got the one im using from some supply company awhile back and im just looking for something better with better pivot points and durability.
I hope to get something within the next month or so...
I have also been using next gen orions for a bit have quite a few of them and have wanted to try a al13 fk
oh there are so many things out there just temping me for my money hahahaha
sorry everyone for going off subject
pricetag

RE:Armrest

I have one from InkBed, not the greatest thing out there but not bad for the price. It only pivots one way, but it has been working out well for me so far. I got one of their beds/chairs as well and im not super impressed with it. Again the price was great, (i got a package, armrest, chair, stool, mayo stand for like 420) but the quality isnt the best. Nothing really serious just small things here and there. Worth browsing their site once anyway!

RE:Armrest

Avoid Inkbed. They are the worst company in the world. They are cheaply priced for a reason cuz their stuff wont last more than a month. I should have done more research on them. Check out the reviews on their shitty products below.

RE:Armrest

Ya i stayed away from their more complicated designs and stuck with the basic message table type chair. I have the same issue with the back rest only locking at the second notch. The arm that holds it needs to be mounted farther out from the chair. I have that table for 6 months now and its mostly fine, If your hard up on cash!

RE:Armrest

Check out some of my arm rest. These things are solid, stable, stainless steel and selling like crazy! Follow us on Facebook under wentz welding. We will also be at Skindustry March 21st thru the 23rd. I have donated one of my bad ass rest for charity and will be there selling the others.

RE:Armrest

if I may.....

I contacted Mr Wentz and he made me up a rest that far exceeded my hopes.
this thing is too notch..
No Jokes, No bullshitting.
hands down the most durable armrest I have ever used.
Its durable.. and its not for the weak of heart...
this thing weighs a bit...
It STAYS where you put it.

Im a firm believer in quality made stuff
and I like to buy American when I can.
so of your looking to buy a serious armrest,
one that will be able to handle the daily abuse and not fall apart in a few months this is where you want to look.
Greg is easy to deal with and does not leave you hanging.

when I found out about albro clipcords
(thanks fuseone)
I found a good quality product...
Well I found another.

great job on this thing dude....
I appreciate it.

RE:Armrest

Thanks Scott I'm glad you like your armrest. These things have been selling themselves. I build them to last and don't paint them so they are easy to clean and easy to see any ink or dirt...stainless is the best. Like us on Facebook at wentzwelding
