diablo kami/swiss

Does anyone here ha e any experience with the diablo kamior swiss? I have both and can line well with both but when it comes to color packing or shading I can't seem to figure it out.I have tried volts from fi e to 9.5 with the give knob all the way in and all the way out .nothing seems to work for me .is it needle hang .if I hang the needle out more than a nickle there is no flow of ink.and when I have the give out to shade it seems to hit harder and cause bleeding.I've tried to get a hold of someone at friction tattok supply but no one is answering me back .pretty soon I will stop using them all together.I am getting a hyper v3 intwo weeks for shading so, really just cor packing problems.I'm using tat soul ss tips and standard taper tat soul needles at 9 curved mag.anyhheanyhhelp thanks.

If the colour flow isnt there, you need to bend the needle more and you might want to switch your tubes...

I have the needle hanging out around 4 mm with maximum give and im floating not running it from the tip

Good rotary machines! I use the kami for grey shading and the Swiss for lining and color blending.try bending the needless a bit for shading

What ink are you using? Is it to thick to run down your tube? I also use the kamis and have no problem I run them around 7 volts for color. You may need to go a little deeper with your needle a nickel length you have to push down hard with your hand causing unnecessary pressure, be light handed. Let me know how it works.

Wow ok .ill try that .I used to bend my needles a lot but thought it wasn't right for some reason.thanks a lot .so would the kami be best for color packing? Or the swiss? Also how much give do you guys use for packing color ? I tried on my arm yesterday and the swiss keeps turningout the give on it's own .I just taped it .but great tips .I used to great art on people and just want to get the hang of these rotaries .I have a dragonfly i'm gonna use for my large rounds .the two diablo's for lining and color packing qnd i'm picking up a hyper v3 real soon for shading.any way I'll let you know how it turns out.thanks again its hard to find advice like this about certain rotaries.

Hey by the way to answer on ink .I use kuro sumi outline ink , kuro sumi colors wich are thick .but I tried intenze lime green wich is thinner and I like that it has a ball in it to mix good .but it didn't want to go in either.

I use no give allowing a hard hit. I've noticed bright green colors are always hard to get in. Lately I've been using bishops with the 4.2 stroke on em and I've been getting much better results with lining, color packing and blending. Those bishop machines are beasts. Also try looking into some high quality inks I love holy smoke grey wash. I've been using alla prima inks but they don't heal very bright so ill probably go with some intenze next. Good luck!

Yeah I'm going with intenze also.I can line great with either one .I'll try it with no give .I just did a tattoo of a cancer ribbon and she wanted lime green from intenze so I bought it .it wws really hard to go in .my next set will be them.I'm gonna give it a try tomorrow .ill be dioing the boston bruins logo so we will see .I'll let you know how it comes out.

RE:diablo kami/swiss

Yeah diablo with no give. I'm actually kinda upset with my bishop last night it started bogging down and running ver inconsistent I'm sending it back today. Ive actually noticed the diablo kamis run stronger then the bishop swiss maxon maybe its just a bad motor and its starting to bog down now. Hopefully when it gets repaired it will run strong and smooth. I will let you guys know.

RE:diablo kami/swiss

I have been using diablo rotary machines for about a year now. I don't really have the trouble with shading, but the majority of the time doesn't like to line when tattooing with larger lining needles. The shading has always come out descent with tattooing with the 4.2 mm stroke.
