Im 2011 wurde ich vom Gesunheitsamt kontrolliert. Dabei wurden 3 Eternal getestet und alle dürften nicht verwendet werden: unerlaubte Farbstoffe unerlaubte Konserverungsmittel und Grafity Green mit 149 mg/kg o-toluidin. Das heisst billige Azo Farbe. Und diese Farbe habe ich beim Importeur in Deutschland gekauft nicht in China

higa, the link you supplied shows some small un named inks and then intenze, not eternal. the first bottles in the current report do not look like eternal inks either. was this an error in brand name or an error in direct link? and if that is a monthly report and you read it what other name brand inks are on it? better yet... what inks are NEVER on the list.. the intenze report names batch numbers, could be a contamination issue.

Probably I will not use eternals anymore, safety for customers at first place.

From what I've read/seen, reds and yellows are the most prone to skin reactions, regardless of the brand of ink. Ive used Eternal, Intenze, and Fusion and all the have done me well. Ive had an allergic reaction to a Magenta from Eternal recently,but that was one from numerous tattoos ive done with the inks. Everyone has their own opinions, but i dig em, some collectors are just reactive to certain pigments.

Its Not an allergic reaction on the Pigment it is a reaction on a aromatic amine like o-anisidine

I have never had an issue with my red based pigments until i got back from a convention in the phillipines. The first tattoo i did when i came back was a large red octopus on a knee cap/legs. She broke out with a minor allergic reaction. Tiny, itchy bumps speratically around the tattoed area. i was semi worried about it, but after research i found that it is common for tattoo collectors to expeirence a reaction like this to red inks. The next red tattoo i did was a rose chest piece collection. we did one rose at first, but she also broke out. i again began to feel like, "Oh shit, is my ink contaminated?" i am not sure which red may have got contaminated, since i used deep, crimson, dark, and Lt. red. contemplating switching over to fusion or area 51 ink, give them a whirl...or if i should stick with eternal and just repurchase my reds. not sure where to turn quite yet, but def buying new ink for the peace of mind.

I have had several customers that have had reactions to Eternal dark red. The reactions are almost similar to staph infection which leads me to believe the pigment is contaminated. I purchased the lot from Bicknee tattoo supply so I know the ink is not from china. I will b going back to starbrite or alla prima. Not impressed with eternal whatsoever!

I had a reaction to red ink about twenty five yrs ago and the tattooer wouldn't tell me the brand he used so I getting colored tats it was black and grey after that a few months after I started drawing custom pieces for my new tattoo guy who went on to be one of my mentors and he showed me how how he made his ink and gave me a small b&g skull with a touch of his red and it's still ok,fast forward to present day and I know intenze reds are ok for me but eternal not so much I had a co worker tattoo me and he slipped in some eternal red which made my arm swell where he put the ink in and I also had pimple like dots all around my tattoo so people who have trouble with reds can try different types like an allergy test just little dots to see if they get a reaction if so it's easily treated and the client will know what's safe for them to use and I should've said former co worker since that was his last day in my place,hell if he would do it to his boss/mentor he would do worse to a client.Eternals plum makes my skin swell .

All ink some people have allergies to it doesnt matter what brand if its a mild allergy to a color have the client take benadryl and was fine had two clients have allergies to eternal and fusion and were fine

I had the same with Intenze cherry bomb red.
2 clients had allergic reactions on it.

reds&yellows are most common for reaction. as a precaution always do a dot test for reaction. as mentioned above all inks containing those two pigments can be problematic. I like to use naphthol pigment that are more user friendly.

i use fusion inks and have never had a problem with reactions to red inks but have had a couple of customers have minor reactions to white ink, after applying bepanthen for a day or so they have cleared up. i really prefer using fusion white but if anyone has any advice id luv to hear.

Well, I'm having a little reaction from the Intenze Magenta. It's itchy, dry and with some keloid. It's a small area, but i'm keep feeling it bothering me for more than one month. I'm afraid of getting worse, cause it is not the first case I see magenta in trouble. I have several tattoos, I'm a tattooist, and the red didn't get anything, but this magenta is not good. I'm really thinking about brushing it up but with another color. So, if you can avoid magenta, it's good. Despite being a beautiful color, I'm not using this anymore in my skin. Sad. Be an advice.
