I can honestly say I like the bishop a bit better but that's just my thoughts I feel as if I can get smoother color blending with it. I just run a normal bishop capo 3.5mm and I love it. Both are great machines though just my preference.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Yeah I am thinking of adding a Impact, have a neo and a bishop, so only makes sense to add an impact since supposedly its designed by someone who was involved in building the bishop which was built in response to the neo if word on the street is correct. /shrug

Plus have heard nothing but praise for the impact

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

the Bishop started off as a blatant copy of the neo tat.. then came the rattle trap capo. the builder of the capo wasnt happy with the owner broke off and now we have the impact. the bishops made no innovations or improvements to the neo tat vivace except arguably the maxon is a better motor than the mabuchi.. the Impact is an improvement on the neotatts, to start with there is considerable less vibration in the slide, no noise from the slide rattleing, no set screws to play around with and the back plate is an organic circuit board the Impact took everything the neos did well and improved on it with some innovations of its own, the bishops did zero innovation wise.. so get an impact if u have had all 3 like i have u can tell the difference..

Just curious but don't shitty company's sell impacts like worldwide and places like that. I'm not saying that the company who resales hem makes it a crappy machine but that was another factor that stop me from buying one. I just ended up tested one out from a fellow artist and I don't know, it just didn't seem to fit my needs as far as when I was trying to color blend seemed a little more on the rough side.

well everyone has there preference and the impact i woodnt say is rougher but is more power and can pack the shiit out of color and may have to change ur technique for blends a bit. also it really depends on stroke if ur at 3.5 or 4.2 mm a world of difference. aadn yes worldwide does sell them but at the time no one wanted to give the impact a chance becaue of the bad blood with bishop owner so i dont really blame him. im sure that is most of his market atleast until people catch on that impacts are great

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Ya Would Not Give Impact A Chance Cuz Worldwide Supply Sucks. Bishop All The Way. Cant Support Scratcher Friendly Companys Like Wwt Supply.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Here were go every thread has to be scratcher related it seems...

NEWSFLASH - There are many vendors out there that don't require proof of shop presence such as eternal ink supply so are you going to boycott eternal ink as well and start using some lesser quality inks now?

anyways back to the topic before the usual scratcher hate derail occurred.

I love my 3.5 bishop for shading and it packs color nicely and all I have ever really done with my 4.2 neo is lining which it does nicely. But my bud has a impact and i really di the peppery old school whip shading and deep solid colors he gets with it. I have been thinking about picking it up to add to the toolbox, Like Tatood said it seems o have a specific purpose from what I seen and for that just makes sense to add it to the lineup no?

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Well said man^^ and id say most definitly pick up an Impact, and give it a go they are a great buy man and TBH at the end of the day all the needle clip machines are real similar and its a personal preference, i can say that the doing a side by side with an impact , vivace, bishop , its easy to tell the imapct is of high quality especially when running them.

As for supporting companies that supply scratchers, i could really careless, like above stated almost every company will sell to scratchers, before i was in a shop id just lie and say i was and get instantly approved.lol.. im more of an easy going kinda not trying to save the world kind of guy mind my own business and really could careless if people are tatttin out of there house. I find it hard to believe everyone at some point hasnt done a tattoo in an unlicensed facility.. as for ordering from WWT i never have, i get mine all from the builder and talk to him all the time on the phone.. another reason i like impact i can call and talk to builder, neotat is pretty much the same, i gave up on bishops after a capo i had had a loose slide and made a loud noise then i found out the problem was quite common with capos, tried to get it resolved and couldnt get a definite on how long itd take to get my machine back if i sent it to them, for that matter never even talked to anyone just some extremly unpersonal emails...

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Now I can't say I've ever try a neotat the original version or the vivace and I have been thinking about getting one but I can't seem to find a supplier even there website doesn't seem to work What do you guys think about the two? The original vs the vivace.i did find needlejig but I've never purchased anything from them are they a legitimate site? I've herd mixed comments between the old and new machine but a few more would be nice to hear.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

needle jig all the way man. orders over a certain amount get free shipping and the neo tatt wood qualiy. old neo is great id recomend the 3.5 stroke. the advantage to the vivace is u can get different stroke motors so ur not locked in to one stroke length. i have had both and there performance seems to be the same. if price is a concern get the OG neotat.. me personally if my heart was set on a neotat id get the Vivace 3.5 with an extra 4.2mm motor to play around with.... i wood stay away from the 2.5mm it just seems to slow me down to much and the longer stroke lays ink much quicker

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

** i have had both so my post comes from personal experience **
i will add i ended up trading them and all i have left of needle clip machines is an impact..

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Awesome well I'm gonna have to give the vivace a go. It's also nice to hear that needlejig is legit. Thanks for the post man

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

I will have to add my opinion, first of all I can say that I've been a tattooer for 17 years And I've known the bishop team from day one. I remember when Todd pear was first hired. He was the guy that set up and broke down the artists. Franco gave him an opportunity to learn to build the bishops. Todd was nothing but problems. He's been in and out of jail and rehab centers. Franco fired him for stealing machines and back dooming them and constantly dealing with a drunk employe. The truth is that the impact was Franco's newer machine that was to be released. Franco had to undergo surgery and was in the hospital and then a 2 month recovery while Todd ripped him off. Anyone that is close to the situation knows the truth, and its beyond fucked up what todd did but Todd continues to lie and tell everyone that he was his partner and he even had the balls to contact several of Franco's customers and lie to them and sell them the stolen impact machine ( how gullible are people these days!!). The impact name is even trademarked under Franco's name. Something that Todd was too stupid to realize at the time.

Look at the impact Facebook page, Todd claims to be an aerospace engineer, try asking him for the proof. He's a lier and a thief, and anyone that supports him is fooled on the facts and as soon as the court battle is done here soon, you will see Todd's real face. He's extremely nice on the phone just to get a sale but you don't know the true story.

As for the bishop being a copy of the neotat? Does anyone ever do their homework nowadays? First of all, the bishop was made first in 2008 way before rotaries were popular, made as a linear rotary machine. Keep in mind franco has been using rotary machines since the inkslingers ball days if anyone remembers. Hes an importand figure in this rotary movement and has been telling people about them for over 15 years. As far as im concerned hes one of the realest guys ive ever met and he deserves his company more than any rotary builder out there. Only thing similar to the neotat was the clip.

Lets get the facts straight, the neotat ripped off the linear rotary machine called "THE REVOLUTION" which at the time no one ever used. Then ray from neotat who was making parts for the tattoo industry decided to copy the revolution but changing a few small things such as the shape and the needle clip.
Then soon everyone forgot about the revolution rotary machine and even neotat at the time didn't sell many machines. It wasn't until 2009 that neotat started having a huge success because of people like franco who spread the word about rotary machines and even sponsoring many famous tattooers. Now all the sudden it's all popular. It wasn't popular when he started.

So what I'm saying is that each builder improves on the next but to call the neotat the original linear machine means that you don't know your history. Keep on mind neither Todd or neotat are tattooers. Back in the day people supported only tattooer/ builders but shit don't no one give a damn anymore. Morals lost.

As for Todd, he's being sued and as karma has it, he's now the one in the hospital while justice in court is not in his favor. Nothing I said is a lie and I can prove it all if anyone wants to know, and I'm not gonna keep my mouth shut as I almost did when I ran across this post. Todd was never a partner in bishop, but just a guy that was jealous and wanted to become more than just an employee. It's a classic case of greed and envy. Just what the world is like nowadays but karma always has a way of collecting the truth!!!

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

whatever whatever you could of wrote a book I know nothing about nothing all I know is I can't tell you how many reviews I have seen about people being horribly disapointed with thier bishops. how the fuck am I going to pay $400.00 and have my machine fucked up. I've seen to many reviews with people disapointed from the heart because thier expensive investment turned out to be a piece of shit.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Loot, you must not read the hundreds of solid reviews and many companies that make machines will always have a few machines gone bad. Plus I've not heard of any one not get their machine fixed by them dudes if it broke during warranty, and even outside of warranty they've given plenty of free fixes. I used to tattoo at his shop and seen first hand how he treats his bishop customers. He's as solid as they come and known to be always down to help resolve a problem.

Like any company theres gonna be a few problems here and there but aint no one perfect. He's a passionate businessman so quit hating fool!!

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Southside13ink.. interesting story and i have heard it all before. and in no way did the bishop come before the neo tat. the OG bishop was a blatant ripoff from the motor to the cam to the needle clip. Dont know what to say other than the Impact is hands down a better machine and personal beef aside, Ill side with the machine that is better. U obviously have a biased opinion as your friends with franco, so that aside i could care less, I just know the CAPO was an inferior machine in every way and that speaks for itself.. also I will say i really dont care to share my opinions unless the question was asked which is better, then I will state my opinions.

RE:Bishop rotary vs impact rotary ?

Southside13ink.. also man everything u said fell on def ears after u stated the Bishop was made first in 08, when the neotat was first introduced in 2004... revolution was garbage, and yeah it was linear and probable not the first, but ray didnt use the same motor and cam.lol.lolol. got no problem with improving other builds, and that is just wat the impact did, Improve on the Neotat and their Vivace, the bishop in no way improved upon it other than add a maxon motor later in the game..
