RE:Zuper Black

Hey Peter,
I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in here for the first time.
I tried Zuper for the first time a few days ago, and I'm a bit torn to be honest.
For the comparison point, I normally use Dynamic black.

I managed to line a bit with Zuper, it was alright for me, but the main problem I found, personally, was having to dip in my ink cup way more often than normal, which makes the entire process longer and more tedious.
Something about the consistency...
Also, this is by far the messiest stuff I've ever used!! Seriously, this is dark as hell, but your entire area will be just as dark first time you wipe, beware!
Great for filling though, so pretty cool for this part of your tribal.
I am yet to see it healed now though, and am very curious to see if it's gonna be as dark and crisp as advertised...

Bottom line, as anything in tattooing, just give it a try, you already got your bottle anyway! You might really like it, who knows...
I believe Loki gave a pretty eloquent review on it on another thread (check it out too)
Cheers,
Chris.

RE:Zuper Black

Me too Wicked!
Just saw the piece, now 10 days later, the black is nice and rich and the lines are not blowing out.
So far so good then! :)
But to be really honest, I will not go out of my way to get this ink, this is a good looking black, but I don't see that much of a difference in the end result, and it takes longer to get it in...
I will still keep an eye on this piece in 6 months, could be interesting.

Are you happy with Alla Prima inks yourself?

Chris.

RE:Zuper Black

i don't like it, its too hard to put it in and its difficult to clean the area.
i prefer tribal black from Radiant colors for filling and turbo black for lining

RE:Zuper Black

Ok I haven't been going at this as long as some of you but for me zuper is by far the easiest I have ever used for tribal. I tend to work better with thicker ink and this shit is kinda thick. The down side is yes it is a mess but the solid fill and the color it has when healed is nice, for me that is. A friend of mine hates it, he tried to tattoo with it and did not like it. I have never had a blow out or any kinds of problems but like I said thats just me, different strokes for different folks.
