All in how you tattoo and if you can adjust to it.They are made nicely and run nicely.I used one and at first didnt like it,but now I can use it with ease.It is different lining with a rotary, but shading and coloring seem to be an easier task, but maybe thats just me.

RE:Bishop Good or bad

it was one of the first ones made, special edition purple and signed by franco himself,I gave it to a coworker and he sent it back in recently to get the motor redone and upgraded and they said its worth $1000 now as it was so rare, but as far as stroke I have no clue I would guess smaller than 4mm for sure

I've always preferred the 3.5mm strokes for rotaries myself. It's a great stroke length for black and grey, and a decent one for color. That's just been my experience, though.

RE:Bishop Good or bad

I just bought one last week. I like it, it seems to be on the same line as the neotat, my #1. It is a great machine so far.

Iv been thinking about switching to the bishop, but also considering the cheyeanne system, I mostly do full colour new school, so want something that will pack colour in fast and even, any advise on which way to go anyone? I'm also wondering if the bishop is powerful enough to run cheyeanne cartridges ? Cheers

RE:Bishop Good or bad

Ive been running both Cheyenne Thunder and Bishop Rotary original for a few years now. Nothing is as fast and precise as the Thunder for lining and also just getting to it and getting a tattoo done (in my opinion). The Bishop is amazing smooth Tattoo machine. It can make the worst areas flow in smooth for me.Like someones head or knee or armpit etc.. I run it between 7.5-8.5 with my Eikon 400. I set up the tattoos with the Thunder and everything else with my Bishop. I suggest both machine. Only problem i have is with the Cheyennes- every year something breaks and i need a new one. With the Bishop has stayed true since i got it 4 years ago.I also run both with ttech. I like them better than the Cheyenne cartridges, they are 5 times cheaper in coast and i think also better the Cheyennes. I found to be to sharp with the hard hitting Thunder and the springs are to hard compromising the Bishop. Hopefully my new Inkjecta V2 will be fun as well
