WorkHOUSE machines

I was looking for a WorkHORSE machine, wich are very hard to get in Europe and thought I found a supplier. ordered a nice looking shader, recieved the parcel and read "WorkHOUSE". This is a polish company. My first thought was to send it back and get the money back. But looking at the machine it actually looks really good and now I am thinking of running it. Does anyone have experience with this company?

very good and not too expensive. got a walker and a birdie
in my collection. they also offer a rather wide variety of
coils, saw them at german supplier "tattoo ecke".

like pirat-machines from czech republic and kwadron
needles from poland:

there's top stuff behind the former iron curtain and for
german artists from their home country, just have a
look at b.c.i.

Ok j.g.
I first thought it was some kind of rip-off. But looking at the frame and the good quality of the coils this is a good machine. I will use it tomorrow. It is better to support a small polish company anyway, as they are our european neighbors! They have great tattooers and produce good beer. So why not?

RE:WorkHOUSE machines

haha good beer and artists is true as well.....

but the workhouse machines arent good in my opinion... it is just a cheap machine.

i had 2 off them years ago but they get pretty hot after some hours of use.

RE:WorkHOUSE machines

I see a lot of respectable seller in europe selling them but i also see them a lot on the second hand sites.

i see, some of you seem to have come across tyskie beer-
a really nice one, indeed ;o)

@ toidi:

mine are fine, but i really can't tell you whether they come
working fine out of the box, because i got them 2nd hand.
normally i check new machines after a first go and look for
spring tension and the rear coil gap especially, if they don't
run according to my likes. i prefer a really minimal rear coil
gap: a folded cigarette rolling paper should have a feelable
slight resistance, when pulling it through between a-bar and
coil head when the a-bar is pressed down to the front coil
head without running- did you check that?

could also have been the type of the coils- as they really have
a impressing wide range of different coils, there surely are
a few types among them, which are prone to run hot. i think
stuff like "12 layer power coils" sounds in my ears quite a bit dangerous from the start, so i stick to stuff from 6 to 10 and
in my own builds i prefer 6 and 8 layers wire size translated
roughly awg 22.

imho in general workhouse are nicely made frames without
any flaws, a fine split-collet-clamp-vice and all the stuff on
them like bolts and terminals is worthy and very solid. coils
are wound perfectly- can spot that through the clear shrink
i saw sharpz, bennetts, bees and other stuff alike, which
came along fabricated way more sloppy...

RE:WorkHOUSE machines

I tested the Workhouse Iron Walker Shader out the Box the other day and it is not a bad machine. it has 8 wrap coils and a hard backspring with a long stroke. i would not use it for fine realistic shades but for traditional 5 or 7 Mag whip shades it is a good choice as it is light and runs on 6,5 volt. It gets a little warm after a while but for back of the hand sailor jerry size trads it should be just fine.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a WorkHORSE Iron machine in Germany or the UK? Getting one from the US would cost me up to 500 or 600 Euros.
