hawk grip stiff and powder residue

Has anyone else has problems when using the cheyenne hawk and ttechs ? Lately I've been having problems with the grip tightening up and trouble adjusting the throw. Also there seems to be some sort of white powder in the grip im assuming that's from the ttechs.
I'm running the machine at a normal voltage, I ultrasonic the grip once and that seemed to solve the problem for a few days but its back.
Many info would be appreciated
Thanks

Mike, did you figure out how to resolve this? I have a cheyenne hawk as well and use the t-tech cartridges, been using it for about 2 months.

the white powder is appearing, and it seems to be messing with the throw of the hawk bar as if it's rubbing . I have to clean out the grip and wipe down the bar after every tattoo, very annoying. No clue where the powder is coming from.

RE:hawk grip stiff and powder residue

I posted a reply in a duplicate post of this. I had to autocla ve my grip once shortly after purchasing and use. The grip got really tight and rough. Cheyenne gave instructions for claving. However it impaired proper function afterward. A super small squirt of wd-40(make sure to spray only between grip and stem at top) and a few full turns of grip loosened things up. It's been fine for a year since. I have to blow plastic dust out of grip every tattoo session. I believe the friction of the plastic drive stem against the wall of the cartridge case causes the dust. Just make sure to keep that dust from riding up into machine housing. Again, I was warned of this from another artist prior to using machine.
