M1 vs curved #08

i going to make an order in a few hours. lets see if im lucky to get a second opinion. jumping to bugpins was the best thing to do. but i cant stop getting darker smugges in lighter areas. i blame this on the curve and not the lack of experience. my question is any special artist perfer M1 bg over curved bg? i worked with some #1013M1 ´s and the shading was alot more easy. angle would be key
