Bactine?

Anyone use Bactine for after the tattoo is done? I got a tattoo recently and they applied this right before they wrapped it. It seems like it's a good product aside from A&D or aquaphor. Thanksz

RE:Bactine?

the bactine has lidocaine as one of its active ingredients. which is awesome for during the tattoo. im not sure how effective it is as an aftercare product though.

typically, aftercare should shield the open wound, keeping dirt and germs out while keeping the skin flexible. light wash with antibacterial soap, then light coat of whatever your artist recommends.

i think as a whole the community of artists have moved on from vaseline, AnD ointment, or tattoo goo. i just dont see the bactine as being thick enough to create a good barrier.
