Edge x

Does anyone have any idea what the volts to cps rate is on this machine? It's my daily driver and I know what works but would really like to know what it's actually running at. Thanks

RE:Edge x

The voltage will vary from person to person, due to hands speed, needle groupings, stroke length, desired effects etc. I personally line at around 9-9.5 volts, shade/color blend from 7.0-7.5, and do my solid color anywhere from 8-8.5. This is just a general idea of what I like running my edge x at and everyone will have their own opinions on this. Hope that helps you some, bud.

RE:Edge x

The give travel is short bro. First turn the give knob clockwise to where it starts to tighten, but dont tighten it all the way because you might jam the screw inside.

And from the clockwise position you can turn it a little bit anticlockwise. I think about 2 or 3 turns anticlockwise is the max give you can do. Any further than that wont put any more give and will just unscrew the knob off.

I read somewhere that people like to have the give turned 1.5 turns anticlockwise for optimum give. Thats what I have it on and it seems fine.

I hope that helps bro.

It would be nice to know speeds (cps) rather than volts, that rotaries are running at, has anyone tried using a strobe light to determine cps?
