newbie at realism

now i know you dont use the nuemas any more....but for a beginning realism artist do you suggest the neumas or the stigmas....i know the neumas hit really soft, should i start out with those so i could work on layering and move up to the stigmas...or try the stigmas straight out........im not even close to your level yet im still doing apples and oranges bro...(when it comes to realism)..but im really trying to break the mold and better my art

RE:newbie at realism

If you want a tattoo very soft looking go with Neuma with air,and that is if you don't mind dealing with a compressor and if you don't travel much. You can still get a tattoo soft looking with all other machines,it's just how you move your hands along with a few other things that makes the difference. I'm going for more of a solid looking tattoo now a days along with still being soft, I've been liking the results with the Stigma Hyper lately, but thats your call i think Neuma or Stigma would be a good starter machine for realism.

RE:newbie at realism

thanks mike i appreciate all the advice its really appreciated by us artists who are trying to get better and improve our skills....actually i would like to thank all the really talented artists who take a moment out of their day to enlighten the future of another....so many tattoo atrtists (or flash artists) are so egotistical ,,,,,and some deserve to be more then others....but still it seems like the crappier the artist the bigger dicks they are.......little man syndrome or something.....thanxs yall....now on to the next post>>>
