tattoo machines

so there is alot of machine talk about the best machine out there i have noticed that everyone that looks at all these different types of machines wants them to run like a coil or perform like one, then why not just stick with the coils instead of trying to find something that is going to be similar.

RE:tattoo machines

Thats a good question. A Coil machine obviously has a lot going for itself, it has worked great for many artists for many years. There are good things about them and theres room for improvements as well. With a good rotary machine or any new type of machine, they try and take the good things about a coil and leave behind the bad things. The main thing about a coil machine that is good, it's all about the hit, and thats the part that should be similar in a new type of machine. Theres pros and cons to every machine, but we are trying to find the machine that has more pros than cons. Now I'm just going to say the pros to the Stigma because at this point it's my personal favorite. No tuning, significantly less vibration, quiet, smaller, lighter, extremely consistent(runs the same way every minute of the entire tattoo),and my favorite pro of them all, and most rotaries have this, they are extremely precise, every stroke is exactly the same. Another feature I like about Stigmas is they have the option of using a RCA or Regular clip cord on every machine so you can still mix your coils in with your setup, if you feel you want to do that you can. So thats the big reasons right there. If they can make a coil that does all those things then I think we all wouldn't care about rotaries, and trying to find a better machine. If you think well my coil is light, doesn't vibrate much, its precise and consistent, well you must not have tried a good rotary, because there is a difference. But don't buy one because I like them, Theres alot of great artists out there that are switching to them, even artists that have been tattooing for years with coils that I thought would never switch, have switched to rotaries.

RE:tattoo machines

One might think that with all the different machines you have had your hands on. You would have been intersted in giving your imput to help develop the perfect machine, make your mark on machine development, and make some money at the same time... Hmmmm.

RE:tattoo machines

I think you totally rigth Mike the coil machine have to manny con and not that many pro like consistent(runs the same way every minute of the entire tattoo) and the coil machine is a problem sometimes resulting in even have to stop in the middle of your work to fix or tune hte machine, I just buy all cain of good brands even the best one on the industry and all runs the same even famous tattoo builders and you just say it not run same as rotary I buy the hyper too, but now they do some changes that look to be a lot better, but even the one before this one work really awesome, this is hyper V2 and I see for example the screw that regulate the give is smaller because the one before was a little bet bigger and a fill a little more vibration, now is smaller what probably do less vibration and the two screw at the side to keep the part that oscilate center is new too so I considering to buy one. I can wait to see a machine new in this industry that have the precision and consistent and everything together so you need to now so many mechanic bullshit to do a good tattoo yeaaaaaaaaaaa jejejeje
