hey mike!

hey i was wondering when your doing color portraits or any heavy saturated color work, do you use linning black ink for your large black areas or do you use a pigment colour black? i only ask because i know some artist will use triple black or different colouring blacks for their color portraits and not so much sumi's.

RE:hey mike!

As of lately, I use Talins for all of my black usage. Lining, solid black, grey shades, everything. On occasion if I re-visit a tattoo I might go back into it with some triple black to get some areas really black where I want it.

have you had much work with the kuro? is there a specific reason to you that talens works your needs more than kuro or is it just what you have been with for a while

RE:hey mike!

I've been using Talins for a long time and there was a while there when I was trying out a bunch of other kinds of black, and I ended up going back to Talins. A lot of it just has to do with preference..
